The easy way to try more tea
Not sure where to start, or just looking to add something new to the rotation? The cube is built for it. A 100g loose-leaf cube or a 25-bag cube is enough to spend real time with a blend — enough brews to work out whether it becomes a regular. Most of T2's range comes in this format, and at this size there's no commitment in picking up a couple at once to compare.
Already know your go-to? The tins and refills are the better-value format for anything you brew every week.
A present that fits in your bag
A T2 cube is one of the more reliable gifts going — consumable, personal without being too personal, and designed well enough that it doesn't need extra wrapping. Keep one spare for a last-minute occasion, or pair it with a piece of T2 teaware for something with a bit more to it. For ready-packaged options, gift packs take the thinking out of it.
FAQ
What sizes do T2 cubes come in?
Loose-leaf cubes are generally 50g-100g depending on the tea. Tea bag cubes hold 25 bags. Both are sized to give you a proper run at a blend before you commit to anything larger.
How is a cube different from a tin?
Size, intention, and longevity. A cube is the try-it format, lighter, smaller, and easy to rotate through. A tin is built for the blends you've already decided on: larger, reusable, and designed to be refilled rather than replaced. A lot of New Zealanders use both — cubes for discovering new teas, tins for the ones that stick.
Can I recycle T2 cube boxes in New Zealand?
Yes, T2 cube boxes are cardboard and go in your standard kerbside recycling bin. Check the base of the box for disposal guidance, and your local council's website if you want to be sure.
Are all T2 teas available as loose leaf and tea bag cubes?
Most are, across blacks, greens, whites, oolongs, herbals, and fruit tisanes. Matchas and a small number of specialty teas are only available in other formats. A handful of blends are loose-leaf only.
