Pai Mu Tan
Pai Mu Tan
White
Description:
The most full-bodied of the delicate white teas. Made from a high-grade leaf that consists of one tender white tea bud for every two opened leaves. A kaleidoscope of shapes and sizes, from downy white buds to dark mature leave brews a clean, yellow and bright infusion. A fresh and lively aroma becomes a delicate, light and engaging flavour with flowers, honeydew melon and a hint of chocolate to finish. High in antioxidants and low in caffeine, this is a multilayered, deceptively complex and refined tea.
Brew:
1 teaspoon per 200mls. Brew 5-7 minutes in water at 80 degrees Celsius.
Serve:
As is. Pretty when served in a glass.
Flavour:
Floral, fruity, herbaceous.
Ingredients:
Tender white tea buds.
Enjoy:
Delicate and refined, this Pai Mu Tan is best away from other strong flavours to be enjoyed day through night. A great tea to sip during a working day, as it can be reinfused and will not spoil if overbrewed.
Consider:
Lung Ching Classic, White Rose, White Ginger.
