Earl Grey
Earl Grey
Tea Bags
Description:
A revered favourite, Earl Grey was first created by a Chinese Mandarin in honour of the British Prime Minister. Earl Grey is a large leaf, full-bodied Sri-Lankan blend of Ceylon orange pekoe and generous amounts of bergamot, producing an all-time classic tea. The orange pekoe leaves brew a coppery liquor with a pronounced bergamot aroma. The flavour is bold with good body and bright bergamot overtones that linger on the palate. It yields a slightly smokey finish with medium tannin.
Brew:
1 tea bag per 200mls, brew 2-4 minutes in water at 100 degrees Celsius.
Serve:
Traditionally Earl Grey is served black, however many drinkers do add a splash of milk.
Flavour:
Traditional, Citrus
Strength:
Medium
Ingredients:
Blend of Ceylon orange pekoe, bergamot
Enjoy:
A typical Earl Grey drinker will be inclined to have it any time of day. Earl Grey is often served black, however many do add a splash of milk. It accompanies sweet dishes nicely and the refreshing citrus feel of bergamot complements dessert.
Consider:
A number of our other earl grey blends complement this one.

A friend from Sydney sent me some for Christmas, knowing how much I like my Earl Grey, and it is a superior blend which I can highly recommend, better than anything similar I have found in the UK.

The best earl grey served in tea bags I ever had. Better than Harrods's or TWG's. The fragrance lasts sooooooo long that even after serving the tea and let dry, the tea bag still smell very nice (I'm actually letting it dry on my desk at work and I can keep smelling its fragrance).
When you drink it, the taste and fragrance already make you feel refreshing, no need to wait. Too bad my English is not good enough to describe!
I'm from Hong Kong and discovered this brand when I stayed at Macau's Grand Hyatt. I couldn't find it in Hong Kong, that's why I checked out this website.
